Excelsior! currently meets on Mondays at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, from 9:30 - 12:45 with an optional bring-your-own-lunch fellowship afterwards. See the Calendar for scheduled dates for Co-op.

A:

1. All teachers and assistants in the classroom must have a background check completed through Excelsior. No exceptions.

2. Excelsior will pay for the background check for all teachers and assistants who have been assigned to a class as part of the regular schedule.

3. If you are going to be absent, your spouse may take your place for the day and fill in for your assigned classes. Excelsior will pay for a background check for your spouse in this situation. This requires planning ahead; contact the Director as soon as you know your spouse will be filling in for you.

4. In last-minute situations (for example, last minute illness), your spouse may bring your children to Co-op. However, he/she will not be able to teach or assist in the classroom if a background check has not already been done; in such case, you will still need to make arrangements for someone else to sub for you.

5. If you would like a background check to be completed for your spouse “just in case” (you don’t have a specific date that he/she will be coming, but would like to be ready in case it happens) this can be done at your expense (typically $15).

6. Other adults besides your spouse, with prior approval from the Board, may bring your children to Co-op and fill in for you. A background check must be completed in advance, at your cost (typically $15). Please plan ahead accordingly.
